Hip-Hop Legend Snoop Dogg Rocks the KF760's
Snoop Dogg, Grammy nominated hip-hop artist made his first appearance in Bulgaria on September 18th, 2008. Known for his 9 studio albums, his own reality show - ‘Snoop Dogg's Father Hood' and his own fashion line, Snoop appeared on stage using 32 EAW KF760's.
The concert took place at the Winter Palace of Sport in Bulgaria's capital, Sofia where Snoop Dogg performed tracks from his latest album, "Ego-Trippin." Currently, there are very few concert venues in Bulgaria. THC Ltd, EAW's Bulgarian distributor chose to take on the challenge. THC Ltd is the biggest sound, light and stage rental company in Bulgaria with more that 90% market share of international events.
"For FOH and standing places in front of the stage we placed six KF760's plus two KF761's per site with optimal angles of boxes. For seating places of the tribunes we placed six KF760's plus two KF761's per site with calculated angles of boxes. The technical result was that the sound in the venue was perfect hi-fi with no reverberations. To achieve this result we used two UX 8800 controllers with presets for different sound zones."
Snoop Dogg's sound engineer had it easy. He only had to put in a half hours work which entailed placing his memory stick in the digital mixing console, without having to run a sound check.
Sound quality of the concert was perfect and both audience and artist management were very pleased with the outcome.
